The Minister of Defense of Ukraine announced that the key issue of the meeting in Brussels will be strengthening Ukraine's air defense. He expects a political decision to supply Patriot systems.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, announced plans to work in Brussels - these are meetings of the "Coalition of the Willing", a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format. A number of important issues are expected to be discussed in cooperation between Ukraine and Western partners - NATO and the EU. The main thing concerns urgent defense issues.

Today and tomorrow I am working in Brussels. The agenda is busy: a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, as well as bilateral meetings, in particular, with the leadership of NATO and the EU.
The head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry stressed that one of the main issues will be to strengthen Ukraine's air defence.
Ukraine needs a sufficient number of modern systems, such as Patriot. A political decision is needed to supply these systems to protect our cities and villages and the lives of our people primarily from the threat of Russian ballistic weapons.
‘As for today's meeting, it is a continuation of dialogue with partners and an important meeting with defence ministers within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing.
The Coalition of the Willing is a strategic step towards modernising the security architecture in Europe, which will be an adequate response to the constant threat from Russia, the defence minister said in a statement.

Umerov also promised that he will continue "discussing industrial cooperation, opening joint defense production", that is, solving the problem of supporting the front and Ukraine's own production base.
