How the world voted for Ukraine at Eurovision 2026 and who gave LELÉKA the most points

Ukraine received the greatest support at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 from Poland, Georgia, and the Czech Republic. These countries awarded the Ukrainian representative the maximum 12 points, UNN reports.

High scores also came from Portugal and Moldova, which awarded 10 points each. Estonia and other countries added 8 points each.

Details

Among other televoting results, the most notable support came from Central and Eastern European countries, which traditionally vote actively for Ukrainian performers. At the same time, support from certain Western European countries proved to be more moderate.

The professional jury, in turn, gave the most support to Ukraine in Switzerland, which awarded 12 points. Azerbaijan rated the Ukrainian performance at 10 points. Ukraine received 7 points each from Italy, the United Kingdom, and Latvia. France awarded 6 points, Portugal gave 3 points, and Poland and Romania gave one point each.

Taking into account the overall result after combining the jury and audience scores, Ukraine received the most points from Azerbaijan — 14. The Ukrainian representative scored 13 points each from Portugal, Poland, and Italy.

The list of states that provided Ukraine with the highest total support also included Latvia, Georgia, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Moldova. Each of these countries made a significant contribution to the final result of the Ukrainian participant.

Context

Ukrainian singer LELÉKA represented Ukraine at the international song contest this year and placed among the top ten finalists. The artist performed the composition "Ridnym." It became one of the examples of combining modern musical delivery with traditional Ukrainian elements. The use of the bandura as part of the musical composition became one of the recognizable elements of the performance and added a national sound to the song.

In total, Ukraine received 221 points. Most of the support came from the audience: according to the televoting results, the Ukrainian performance scored 167 points. In contrast, the professional jury rated the act much more conservatively, awarding only 54 points.

The results indicate a significant difference between the audience and expert evaluations. It was the audience votes that allowed Ukraine to strengthen its position in the final rankings and break into the top ten of the contest.

As a reminder

Bulgaria's victory at Eurovision sparked a scandal due to the composer's ties to Kirkorov. This refers to Dimitris Kontopoulos, who has collaborated with many stars of Russian show business and continued to visit Moscow even after 2022.
