Hamburg Mayor Peter Cencher arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit to express support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

The head of the German city of Hamburg, Peter Cencher (SPD), arrived in the capital of Ukraine with a delegation on an unannounced visit. UNN reports this with reference to Bild.

It is noted that 58-year-old Peter Cencher arrived in Kyiv by night train from Poland  at the invitation of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. German Ambassador Martin Eger met them at the station. The visit was not announced in advance for security reasons.

This is Chencher's first trip to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. The politician plans to meet with the Klitschko brothers and Ukrainian ministers.

"We are providing humanitarian and supply support. Our support in the crisis must continue until the war is over and recovery can begin," said Churcher.

According to him, the people of Ukraine are resisting Russian aggression with courage, patience and great strength.
