General Staff confirms strikes on Russian reconnaissance systems with Storm Shadow and the Tuapse refinery

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed strikes on the "Tuapse" Oil Refinery, a hardware and software complex for reconnaissance automation of the Russian Air Force—the latter using Storm Shadow missiles—as well as air defense facilities and enemy command posts, UNN reports.

On the night of May 27, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the "Tuapse" Oil Refinery (Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, RF). Fire and smoke were recorded on the enterprise's territory. The scale of the damage is being clarified,

- the General Staff reported.

The "Tuapse" Oil Refinery is reportedly one of the largest oil refining enterprises in southern Russia. Its refining capacity is approximately 12 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces fuel, specifically for the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.

Units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using Storm Shadow air-launched missiles, struck hardware and software complexes for reconnaissance automation of the Russian Air Force in the areas of Voronezh (Voronezh Oblast, RF), Taganrog (Rostov Oblast, RF), and Sevastopol (temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea),

- the General Staff indicated.

Furthermore, as noted by the General Staff, "The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck command posts of the occupiers' units in the areas of the settlements of Tsvitni Pisky and Sorokyne in the Luhansk region."

"A logistics warehouse in Sorokyne, Luhansk region, and a UAV production facility in the area of Azovske, Zaporizhzhia region, were also hit. Among other targets, a 'Nebo-SV' radar station in the Kamyanka area and a command and staff vehicle from the occupiers' 'Buk-M2' complex near Kadiivka, Luhansk region, were struck," the General Staff noted.
