One of the topics of the G7 summit will be the coordination of international efforts to combat the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda. This was stated by the President of the European Council, António Costa, before the start of the G7 leaders' meeting, UNN reports.
According to Costa, G7 countries are already mobilizing medical resources, personnel, and other capabilities to support the states affected by the spread of the dangerous disease.
"We are helping the countries facing this disease to stop its further spread," he emphasized.
The President of the European Council stressed that the Ebola epidemic is a global problem that requires an international response.
He also assured that the European Union will continue to support the affected countries and will work closely with international partners to contain the spread of the disease.
