Fire Point localizes up to 90% of its product production, betting on technological independence - Iryna Terekh

Ukrainian manufacturer of long-range drones and missiles Fire Point considers its strategic priority not to compete with rivals on the global arms market, but to develop technological independence and expand international cooperation. This was stated by Fire Point CEO and CTO Iryna Terekh during a briefing at the international exhibition Eurosatory-2026 in Paris, reports a correspondent of UNN.

According to Terekh, the current security situation forces a rethinking of traditional approaches to both defense and the development of the defense industry. Because, in her words, the old rules of the arms market have already become somewhat outdated.

Speaking about market competition: we very much want to inspire more companies, and most importantly, more countries, to follow the lessons we have learned while developing Fire Point. Therefore, for me, one of the main strategic goals is building technological strategic independence

- noted Iryna Terekh.

She emphasized that the company purposefully invests in maximum localization of production of critically important components.

Fire Point invests heavily in full-cycle strategic independence at the technological level, localizing our products to the level of 90%. Currently, this localization is carried out within the country, and if not in Ukraine, then we are ready to localize it within the European continent

- noted the company's CEO.

Special attention, according to her, must be paid to the production of electronic components, on which the resilience of the defense industry of both Ukraine and Europe depends.

And of course, we talk a lot with our allies and partners about the fact that we need to mature and understand: in the field of critical components, especially electronic ones, we must become independent and think strategically. Not in the categories of a band-aid that needs to be urgently applied right now, but in the categories of strategic development

- emphasized Iryna Terekh.

At the same time, Fire Point is convinced that the future of the defense industry will be determined not by increased competition between manufacturers, but by expanded cooperation between countries and companies.
