87 combat engagements took place in Ukraine on Monday, with the most intense fighting taking place in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka sectors, where Ukrainian troops repelled numerous Russian attacks despite active offensives by the occupiers under the cover of air power.
87 combat engagements took place in Ukraine on Monday. More than fifty attacks took place in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka sectors, which remain the hottest spots on the frontline. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Over the last day, 87 combat engagements were registered. In total, the enemy launched 15 missile and 18 air strikes, fired 29 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

In the Liman sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled four attacks near Terny.
In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled the enemy 27 times. The occupants once again tried unsuccessfully to improve their tactical position and break through the defenses near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, as well as Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, Novyi, Ivanivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders prevented Russians from pushing our units from their positions near Novobakhmutivka, Berdychiv, Semenivka, Umanske and Pervomayske. The Russians attacked there 12 times with the support of air power.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Novomykhailivka, Pobeda, Vodiane and Urozhayne. On Monday, 26 enemy attacks were repelled here. Despite the active offensives of the invaders under the cover of aviation, Ukrainian defenders are not giving up their positions.
In the Orikhivsk sector, Russian proxies attacked the positions of our defenders 5 times near Staromayorske in Donetsk region, as well as north of Pryiutne and southwest of Bilohirya in Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson sector, the enemy also continues to try to force our troops out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. During the day, there were four combat engagements near Krynky in Kherson region. All assaults were unsuccessful for the Russians.

Also on Monday, Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation conducted two strikes on Russian positions and hit one enemy control center.
Soldiers from the missile troops' units burned down one Russian artillery system, and destroyed 4 UAV control points and three areas where occupants' personnel were concentrated.
