An employee of a kindergarten in Kharkiv was detained for acting as a Russian intelligence agent, providing coordinates and intelligence to adjust enemy strikes on the city.

Law enforcement officers detained  another Russian intelligence agent who worked in a kindergarten and corrected enemy missile and drone strikes on Kharkiv. This was reported on Monday by the SBU press service, UNN reports.

The attacker was an employee of a local kindergarten. In her free time, she helped the racists to target the points of deployment of the Defense Forces in the regional center

- the SBU said in a statement.

Reportedly, in order to direct enemy fire, the defendant received geolocations of potential targets from the occupiers and then conducted additional reconnaissance there.

While in the vicinity of the facility, she covertly observed it to establish the approximate number of personnel and military equipment there.

The agent then transmitted the information via messenger to her Russian supervisor, marking the coordinates on Google maps.

Based on an intelligence "report," the occupiers were preparing air attacks on the city using missile weapons and Shahed-type kamikaze drones

- the SBU said.

According to the agency, the enemy accomplice was exposed at the initial stage of her intelligence activity. Also at that time, comprehensive measures were taken to secure the base points of Kharkiv's defenders.

Law enforcers detained the offender in her own home.

According to the investigation, the woman was remotely recruited by Russian intelligence in the fall of 2023. She came to the attention of the occupiers through her acquaintance from the city of Kupyansk, who fled to Russia during the capture of the district center and joined the enemy forces.

During the searches in the detainee's home, a cell phone used by her to communicate with the aggressor was seized.

Based on the evidence collected, the SBU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender is currently in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
