Kyiv • UNN
Ukraine's power grid remains in a significant capacity deficit after 12 massive attacks. Electricity is imported from 5 countries with a total volume of 10,422 MWh.
Electricity consumption in Ukraine remains at a level that corresponds to seasonal indicators and there is a significant power shortage in the power system, so the need for economical electricity consumption remains, according to NPC Ukrenergo, UNN reports.
Consumption
Today, on December 19, as of 7:00 a.m., the level of electricity consumption was the same as on the previous day, Tuesday. Yesterday, December 18, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the morning. It was 1.7% lower than the previous day's maximum on Tuesday, December 17.
"As the Ukrainian power grid continues to recover from twelve massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year, it still has a significant power shortage. Today, it remains necessary to conserve electricity. Please do not use several powerful electrical appliances at the same time between 8:00 and 20:00," the company emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Energy, power companies restored power to 16,051 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of the hostilities.
Import
It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 10,422 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 862 MW in some hours.
