Chief of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov statedthat Ukraine expects Russia to intensify its offensive in late spring and early summer. Especially in the Donbas region.

The media, particularly the Russian media, are reporting that the Russians are allegedly trying to seize Kharkiv.

In early April 2024, Yusov called the information about an "offensive on Kharkiv" to sow panic in Ukraine fake news and noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not record the formation of Russian strike groups.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has statedthat Russian dictator Putin wants to take over Kharkiv. At the same time, Ukraine is doing everything possible to prevent this from happening.
