The opening of the cinema is a big event for Ladyzhyn, as the cinema hasn't been open since 2020.
"For the last three years, unfortunately, cinemas in Ukraine have only been closing.
The movie theater in Ladyzhyn not only resumed its work, but essentially reopened. Nowadays, this is equal to a victory. This is equal to the incredible joy of filmmakers," comments Andriy Rizol, Chairman of the Board of the Watch Ukrainian Association .
"It was a difficult job to develop this project. Because we have one hall. We did not fully understand the necessary criteria for opening a cinema.
I would like to thank the MHP for the Community charitable foundation, which has engaged certain specialists and contributed to the financing of this project. And in principle, the work has begun.
The work had been going on for months. Experts came, looked at the equipment, and examined the capabilities of our cinema. And, as you can see, we are in the home stretch," adds Oleksandr Kolomiyets, acting mayor of Ladyzhyn.
Film actor and director Akhtem Seitablaev also attended the first screenings at the renovated Ukraine Cinema.
