US Secretary of State Blinken informs G7 ministers of a possible Iranian attack on Israel in the next 24-48 hours. The United States expects Hezbollah and other Iranian allies in the region to participate.
On Sunday, August 4, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had a telephone conversation with G7 foreign ministers and warned that an Iranian attack on Israel could begin within two days. Axios writes about this with reference to three unnamed sources, UNN reports.

According to the publication, the United States has no information about the exact time of the strike, which Tehran sees as retaliation for the assassination of Ismail Ghania, head of the political wing of Hamas.
Nevertheless, at a meeting with other ministers, Blinken said that an Iranian strike on Israel could begin no earlier than 24-48 hours later. This means Monday or Tuesday.
Blinken acknowledged that it is unclear how Iran will attack Israel.
However, the United States is convinced that the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, which is among Iran's close allies, will also take part in the attack. According to preliminary information, the participation of other Iranian allies in the region is not excluded.
One option is a massive air attack using missiles and drones.
Blinken called on other foreign ministers to put pressure on Iran, Hezbollah, and Israel to achieve "maximum restraint." In an official statement, the G7 ministers called for an end to the "destructive cycle of retaliatory violence.
The publication also emphasizes that on Sunday evening, the White House announced that President Joe Biden will convene his national security team in the White House Intelligence Situation Room today to discuss developments in the Middle East.
He also plans to have a phone conversation with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
