Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi stated that the meeting of former high-ranking officials of Germany and Russia in Baku is unimportant. Ukraine did not authorize the participants for such negotiations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the secret meeting of former high-ranking officials of Russia and Germany in Baku, Azerbaijan, where the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine was allegedly discussed, unimportant. This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi in a comment to journalists, reports UNN.
The meeting is as secret as it is unimportant. Some people, whose names are practically ungoogleable, meet and talk about something. The Ukrainian side did not authorize any of them for anything. The significance of such meetings for the real peace process is close to zero

According to media reports, the Russian delegation included Valery Fadeyev, who heads the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, as well as Viktor Zubkov, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia who currently chairs the board of directors of the state energy concern Gazprom.
