Amid record protests in Serbia, EU leaders are calling on President Vucic to commit to fundamental reforms

The European Commission has called on Serbia to implement reforms, including media freedom and the fight against corruption, amid mass protests. Vucic has declared his commitment to the EU path.
Demonstrators demanded that the Serbian leadership be held accountable for corruption, and the protests are not subsiding. The European Commission reacted to the situation and offered President Vucic to change his policy.

This conclusion appeared in the evening, after a working dinner with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, which was also attended by the Head of the Council António Costa - the parties discussed the current political situation and Serbia's path to joining the EU.
An interesting detail - the EU leadership is extremely cautious about the protests in Serbia, without expressing support. At the same time, in Serbia and in a number of countries, Vucic's working dinner with senior EU leaders caused controversy. In particular, 32 MEPs demanded in a letter that von der Leyen cancel the meeting with Vucic.
