The cause for concern was statements by U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin regarding the possible suspension of international passenger and cargo processing at Newark Airport in New Jersey. According to him, similar measures could affect more than a dozen other airports in so-called "sanctuary cities," including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
