The Russian cities of Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk were left without electricity amid the threat of drone strikes, UNN reports, citing Russian media.

According to Russian media, during the day, residents of Gelendzhik began complaining about power outages throughout the city. Since early morning, a warning about the danger of an attack by Ukrainian drones has been in effect in the city; sirens are sounded periodically, and beaches are closed.
There is also no electricity in the surrounding villages and in Novorossiysk. In Krasnodar, more than 70 traffic lights are not working due to an emergency power outage.
The Gelendzhik Municipal Control Center reported that the accident occurred "due to the activation of the automatic load-shedding system in the higher-level grid organization." The operational headquarters of Krasnodar Krai claims that power supply will be restored within the next two hours.
