After the Russian strike on a printing house in Kyiv, the Ministry of Education and Science assesses the loss of textbooks

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with publishers, is assessing the number of textbooks that were destroyed or damaged as a result of a Russian missile strike on the "Konvi" printing house in Kyiv on the night of July 19. This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science, reports UNN.

According to publishers, the attack destroyed nearly 250,000 copies of books, some of which are educational literature. Another approximately 350,000 copies were damaged.

Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with publishers, is clarifying the scale of losses, including the number of destroyed and damaged textbooks.

After the damage assessment is completed, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Institute for the Modernization of Educational Content, will determine the volume of educational literature that needs to be reprinted to timely provide schools with textbooks.

The department reminded that this year, about 8 million copies of educational literature are planned to be printed for 9th-grade students.
