In Russian Lipetsk, after a night attack, a fire broke out in the area between CHP-2 and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK). This is reported by ASTRA, citing an OSINT analysis of eyewitness videos, writes UNN.

Local residents on the night of July 21 reported explosions and a fire. The previous evening, a missile threat was declared in the Lipetsk region.
Based on the analysis of published footage, ASTRA concluded that the source of the fire is located in the area of the Lipetsk CHP-2 and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant. Which specific object was hit is currently not known for certain.
The Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant is the largest steel producer in Russia and, according to ASTRA, provides about 20% of the country's total steel production.
The publication notes that the company claims there are no supplies of military products to the Russian defense-industrial complex. At the same time, Ukrainian special services, according to ASTRA, consider the enterprise a legitimate military target due to its likely ties to the Russian military-industrial complex.
The Lipetsk CHP-2 is one of the largest thermal power plants in the Central Black Earth region and provides heat to the city of Lipetsk and a number of industrial enterprises in the region.
