According to law enforcement, the first attack occurred in the Yashikira community near the country's northwestern border. The attackers targeted a police station and the palace of a local emir, setting part of the building on fire. Police stated that officers on duty were able to repel the attack on the station, but the gunmen kidnapped 10 residents and fled in an unknown direction.
Three people killed during the second attack
Separately, police confirmed another attack in the Ekiti Local Government Area. Gunmen opened fire on worshippers during a night prayer meeting, killing three people and kidnapping 15 others.

Police stated that a joint operation involving the military, special forces, drones, and local vigilantes has been deployed to search for the kidnapped individuals.
