Ukraine recently received and deployed a package of missiles for Patriot air defense systems, which were used to repel a Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 15. According to the Head of State, the package of Patriot missiles was delivered to Ukraine recently; however, it became possible to speak about it publicly only after they were utilized.
"We had a package of Patriot missiles; it was recently delivered to Ukraine. Now, after we have used the missiles, we can talk about it. There were enough to shoot down ballistics, but not all drones were downed," Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized that the Patriot missiles made it possible to intercept ballistic targets during Russian attacks.
In particular, air defense managed to destroy 50 out of 70 missiles that Russia used to strike Ukraine.
What you need to know about Patriot systems
