Details

According to the president, the program has already sparked significant interest among representatives of the creative industries. More than 2,600 applications have been submitted for the competition, and over 150 experts will evaluate the projects.

Today we present the first results of "Thousand Springs." The feedback we have received during this time is, in a way, historic. Over 2,600 applications for the competition. Hundreds of projects in cinema, documentaries, music, visual and performing arts, and more than 150 experts—well-known and authoritative figures in the industry who will evaluate them

- Zelenskyy noted.

The President thanked all participants, experts, and the team implementing the program.

Culture as a tool in the struggle for Ukrainian identity

The head of state emphasized that the main goal of the initiative is to increase the quantity of high-quality Ukrainian cultural products and strengthen their impact on society.

Thanks to this program, today there are all the opportunities to create exactly what our society needs right now. Namely—more of our own. A product that will successfully fight for the minds and hearts of millions—our children, youth, and the older generation. To fight and defeat enemy narratives, despair, and pain, to give Ukrainians energy and unite people around the Ukrainian future

- the President emphasized.

Zelenskyy: during war, culture is also a weapon

Separately, Zelenskyy highlighted the role of culture in the conditions of full-scale war, calling it one of the important elements of state defense.

This is extremely important, especially in times of war, when culture is also a weapon for protecting Ukrainian consciousness, our identity, and the future. I believe: today we are starting something truly iconic and great. And I believe: everything will succeed

- the head of state concluded.
