Russia violated the ceasefire with strikes, including on Ukraine's infrastructure. Zelenskyy promises a mirror response and long-range sanctions for the aggression.

Yesterday and today, the silence regime initiated by Ukraine is being violated by Russia, and Ukraine will act fairly, "in a mirror-like manner and in response to Russian strikes – our long-range sanctions; in response to Russia's readiness to move to diplomacy, we will follow the path of diplomacy," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported, UNN writes.

"Since the beginning of this day, the Russian army has been striking Ukraine in all forms: attack drones, missile strikes, shelling and assaults at the front, and the use of aerial bombs. From the beginning of the day until morning alone, there were already about 100 attack drones, dozens of assault actions in key areas of the front, as well as dozens of airstrikes," Zelenskyy wrote on social media.
According to him, "significant damage to civilian objects has been recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions." "There were also strikes on locomotives and Ukrzaliznytsia infrastructure in several regions. Ukrainian energy remains a constant Russian target," the President pointed out.
"All this indicates that Russia is not seriously considering the possibility of a ceasefire, and the only thing that continues to concern the Russian leadership is a short-term silence on Red Square. Russia continues to kill people and, quite inadequately, cares only about a few hours of silence in one part of Moscow," Zelenskyy noted.
Ukraine will act fairly – day by day. We proposed a silence starting from midnight on May 6. Yesterday and today, this regime is being violated by Russia. In a mirror-like manner and in response to Russian strikes – our long-range sanctions; in response to Russia's readiness to move to diplomacy, we will follow the path of diplomacy
The President pointed out: "Concrete steps to end the war are needed, and peace will still be achieved: we are working for this. The only question is how much time will be lost due to Russia's madness."
"I thank everyone who is with Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!" he emphasized.
