Answering a question regarding the possible resumption of the negotiation process, the Head of State noted that Ukraine sought to use the G7 summit to advance diplomatic contacts.
"Organizing such negotiations is very difficult. I wanted to take the opportunity of the G7 summit to meet with Vladimir Putin, but Russia did not share this position,"
The President also suggested that Moscow might not have received positive signals from the United States regarding the resumption of the negotiation process.
"I am not sure they received positive signals from the United States,"
At the same time, Zelenskyy once again rejected the Russian side's proposals to hold a meeting in Moscow.
"We do not play these games,"
According to him, negotiations between the leaders of the two states could take place on a neutral platform.
"It could be Switzerland, Turkey, or one of the Middle Eastern countries,"
At the same time, the Head of State expressed doubt about the Kremlin's readiness for a real peace settlement.
"Putin does not want to end the war,"
