US President-elect Donald Trump said after meeting with Vladimir Zelensky and French leaders in Paris that Ukraine seeks to make peace with Russia. Trump added that he is formulating a concept of how to end this "senseless war.
He said this in a comment to The New York Post, reports UNN.
He (Zelensky - ED.) wants to make peace. This is something new. He wants a cease-fire. He wants to make peace. We didn't discuss the details. He thinks it's time. And Putin should think that the time has come, because he has lost – when you lose 700,000 people, it is already time. It won't end until there's peace
Trump noted that he discussed with Zelensky ways to end the bloody conflict that has been going on since 2022.
I am formulating a concept of how to end this senseless war
Zelensky: peace cannot be achieved "just with a piece of paper".
However, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasizes that the war can be ended only if there are real security guarantees.
It doesn't end with just a piece of paper and a few signatures. And a cease-fire without guarantees can be rekindled at any time, as Putin has already done
He added that Ukraine is counting on America and the whole world to stop Putin.
