Zelenskiy says Ukraine is awaiting the arrival of Dutch F-16 fighters

Zelenskyy met with Dutch ministers in Odesa to discuss military aid, including F-16s and air defense support, amid Russian attacks on the city.
In Odesa, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Kaspar Veldkamp and Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans. The Head of State noted that the newly appointed officials made their first foreign visit to Ukraine and thanked the Netherlands for supporting our country from the very beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression. "The Netherlands has opened very important pages in protecting our lives. This concerns the strengthening of air defense and the supply of F-16 aircraft. I had a very warm phone conversation with the new Prime Minister of the Netherlands. I think we will continue our dialogue during the NATO Summit," the Head of State noted.
The President spoke about the shelling of civilian and critical infrastructure in Odesa by Russia, which is killing people, and emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
The Dutch Foreign Minister noted that the visit to Odesa demonstrates his government's unwavering support for Ukraine.
"I would like to assure you that our further political, economic and military support for Ukraine will continue," emphasized Kaspar Veldkamp.
The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands emphasized the importance of military support for our country, in particular in the supply of F-16 aircraft.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is awaiting the arrival of Dutch F-16 fighters to help close Ukrainian skies and prevent Russian attacks on our cities and communities.
The President and the ministers also listened to a report on the operational situation in the Black Sea by Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa.
