Florida Senator Marco Rubio has been appointed the new US Secretary of State by Donald Trump. Rubio promised to ensure “peace through strength” and put the interests of Americans above all else.
The Florida senator, formerly a representative of the Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees in the Upper House, commented on his appointment as US Secretary of State. Marco Rubio thanked Trump in particular and announced his agenda.

Rubio also stressed that as Secretary of State, he would work every day to implement the foreign policy agenda.

Marco Rubio was born in Miami in 1971. He is considered a "hawk" in foreign policy, a supporter of a hard line in international politics.
Fun fact: Rubio gained national fame when he took part in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, where he faced off against Trump.
After dropping out of the 2016 Republican presidential nomination race, he expressed his loyalty to Donald Trump.
