US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce stated that the only item that can be discussed in negotiations with Russia now is a ceasefire. Other topics will not be considered until the fighting stops. This is reported by UNN with reference to the spokeswoman's press conference.

"Our entire leadership, including President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio, have made it clear publicly what is at stake... This is a dynamic that will not be resolved militarily," the State Department spokeswoman added.
Tammy Bruce also stressed that the United States will closely monitor Russia's behavior.
"At a press conference at NATO, Minister Rubio made it clear that in a few weeks we will know whether Russia is serious," Bruce said.
