An archive with 12 unreleased Michael Jackson songs recorded in 1989-1991 was discovered in a California warehouse. Among the finds are a unique duet with LL Cool J and personal conversations with the singer during the recording.

An archive of unreleased songs by the legendary pop singer Michael Jackson was discovered in an abandoned warehouse in California. They were accidentally found by 56-year-old Gregg Musgrove, a former highway patrol officer who buys old warehouses in search of valuable items.

This was written by Hollywood Reporter, reported UNN.

Details

The warehouse where the records were found used to belong to music producer Brian Lauren, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Among the findings are 12 songs that Jackson recorded between 1989 and 1991, before the release of the album “Dangerous”.

What is known about the records:

Some songs were previously mentioned on fan sites, but have never been made public.

In one of the songs, “Don't Believe It,” Jackson probably alludes to the rumors that were spreading about him in the media.

Another composition, “Seven Digits,” recalls the identification numbers of bodies in the morgue.

The most interesting track is “Truth on Youth,” Jackson's duet with rapper LL Cool J, in which the pop legend raps.

According to Musgrove, the recordings also show Jackson discussing the creative process and even joking.

Unfortunately, the records cannot be officially released. Representatives of Michael Jackson's estate refused to buy them back, although they confirmed that they did not claim ownership of the media themselves.

However, they emphasized that the copyright to the music belongs to Jackson's estate, so a public release of these recordings is impossible.

Musgrove plans to put the recordings up for auction. Their value is estimated at millions of dollars, and they are likely to join the private collection of Michael Jackson fans.

Recall

A biopic about singer Michael Jackson will be released in the spring of 2025.
