Ukraine to complete repair of Druzhba oil pipeline in spring - Zelenskyy
Kyiv • UNN
Ukraine plans to complete the restoration of the damaged oil pipeline by the end of spring. Hungary is blocking an EU loan to Kyiv due to delays in oil supplies.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has made significant progress in restoring the damaged Druzhba oil pipeline and will complete repairs in the spring. This is reported by Reuters, writes UNN.
We will complete the repairs because that is the agreement. I told them we would finish this spring. A lot has already been done there… Of course, destroyed tanks cannot be repaired quickly.
The governments of Hungary and Slovakia, which have maintained close political and energy ties with Russia since its invasion of Ukraine in 2022, accuse Kyiv of delaying repairs. Ukraine denies this.
The dispute over oil transit motivated Hungary to block the European Union's provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine until oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline are restored.
An industry source told Reuters earlier this month that April is the most likely completion date for the work.
