Ukraine has received $118 million from Japan as part of the World Bank's HEAL and HOPE projects for health care and recovery, the Ministry of Finance reported on Monday, UNN reports.

The state budget reportedly received $118 million in grants from Japan under the World Bank's Healthcare Enhancement and Life Saving (HEAL Ukraine) and Housing Opportunities for People's Empowerment (HOPE) projects.

▫️ $70 million within the HEAL Ukraine project to support the state budget, reimbursement of expenses incurred under the medical guarantees program.

▫️ $48.2 million under the HOPE project to reimburse state budget expenditures used to compensate for repairs in apartment buildings and private homes that need minor and medium repairs.

"The funds raised will help the government to provide citizens with proper assistance, expand the range of medical services and access to them, ensure overcoming the consequences caused by Russia's armed aggression and rebuild housing infrastructure," said Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko.
