The US State Department said that Ukraine did not inform them about the operation in the Kursk region of Russia. Nevertheless, Ukraine's actions do not contradict US policy on the use of American weapons.
Ukraine has not provided the United States with its plans for a possible offensive in the Kursk region of Russia. However, such a plan does not contradict the US position on the use of American weapons. This was stated during a briefing by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller , UNN reports.

According to him, Ukraine did not notify the United States in advance of the operation in Kursk, but this "is not unusual."
It is not unusual for Ukraine not to inform us of its exact tactics before they are implemented. This is a war they are fighting. We provide them with equipment and advice. But when it comes to day-to-day tactics, sometimes we communicate with them, sometimes we don't. And it is appropriate that they make these decisions themselves
Miller added that that the US policy on strikes on Russian territory with US weapons has not changed, but that Ukraine's current actions do not contradict US policy.
It should be noted that there are currently no official comments from Ukraine on the situation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
