UAH 106 billion allocated for social payments in Q1 - Ministry of Finance

In January-March 2026, the state fully funded social expenditures. The largest share of funds was directed to pensions and support for internally displaced persons.
In January-March 2026, social expenditures of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity totaling UAH 106 billion were financed on time and in full. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance, writes UNN.
Timely and full financing of social payments is one of the key priorities of the Ministry of Finance, especially under martial law. The state ensures the stability of social support for citizens who need it most.
In particular, in the first quarter of 2026, funds were used for the following purposes:
- UAH 60.3 billion — for financial support of pension payments, allowances and increases to pensions, assigned under the pension programs of the Pension Fund;
- UAH 22.2 billion — for social protection of citizens who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, including support for almost 1.1 million internally displaced persons and 216 thousand low-income families;
- UAH 14 billion — for providing benefits and housing subsidies to citizens (received by more than 2.8 million households);
- UAH 8.5 billion — for social protection of children and families (payment of social assistance to almost 600.5 thousand recipients);
- UAH 1 billion — for social protection of people with disabilities.
