Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk predicts a decrease in the US role in the Ukrainian issue after the presidential election. He emphasized that decisions on the war cannot be made without the participation of Ukraine and Europe.
In the near future, the United States can be expected to issue declarations, in particular on the date of the ceasefire, on which border it will be in effect, and security guarantees for Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, UNN reports with reference to Polish Radio.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk predictsthat regardless of the outcome of the US presidential election, Poland and Europe will bear much greater responsibility for their own security in the coming months.
Answering a question about US President-elect Donald Trump's plan for Ukraine, which was partially disclosed by the media, he emphasized that such a plan is probably only at the preparation stage. In his opinion, we can expect declarations in the near future, in particular on the date of the ceasefire, on which border it will be in effect, and security guarantees for Ukraine.
"These will definitely be decisions that will involve less US interference in Ukrainian affairs," he added.
Tusk emphasized that "decisions on the war in Ukraine cannot be made over the heads of Ukrainians, but also over ours.
