US President Donald Trump said that Iran will pay many times over for the killing of American soldiers. The Pentagon confirmed three deaths of servicemen over the weekend in Jordan and Iraq.
U.S. President Donald Trump warns of harsh retaliation for the killing of American troops caused by Iran, following a deadly weekend for U.S. servicemembers, UNN reports citing CNN.
"Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay for that murder many times over!" he wrote on Truth Social on Monday.
He said he had conveyed his instructions to the top military leadership.
"This directive was conveyed to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Daniel Caine, and every military leader," he wrote.

The Pentagon confirmed three American deaths over the weekend, including two at a military base in Jordan and one in northern Iraq.
The military continues to examine unidentified remains found at the attack site in Jordan, suggesting the death toll could rise.
