Britain intercepted a Russian shadow fleet tanker in the English Channel. Zelenskyy urged partners to change laws for prolonged arrest and confiscation of oil.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Britain, where a Russian tanker was detained, and announced talks with partners in Europe to ensure the detention period is longer and the oil can be confiscated, UNN reports.
Today we also have something to especially thank Britain for: the British detained a Russian oil tanker off their shores, and this is the first such step by the British specifically. Over this past year, detaining the Russian shadow fleet has become a good tradition in European seas. Oil must be stopped so that the Russian war moves closer to a stop. Thank you, Britain!
