Kyiv • UNN
Due to the closure of the corridor in Sumy region, Ukrainians can leave the occupied territories through the Mokrany-Domianove checkpoint in Volyn. It provides assistance, free housing and financial support.
Due to the suspension of the Kolotylivka - Pokrovka humanitarian corridor in Sumy region, Ukrainians can use the Mokrany - Domanove humanitarian corridor in Volyn to leave the TOT for government-controlled territory.
The Ministry of Reintegration reported the news, UNN writes.
Until recently, Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories were returning to government-controlled territory through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka humanitarian corridor in Sumy region. However, due to hostile shelling, this humanitarian corridor was temporarily closed.
Currently, one of the possible ways to leave is through the Mokrany-Domanovo checkpoint on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. This checkpoint is available to all Ukrainian citizens who have any Ukrainian documents with them.
After crossing the border, Ukrainians are met by representatives of local authorities, social services, emergency services and volunteers. Volunteers provide support to the elderly and people with disabilities, help them get to Kovel for free and, if necessary, buy train tickets to other regions of Ukraine.
Everyone is given the opportunity to spend the night free of charge with meals. They are also registered to receive financial assistance in the amount of UAH 10,800 from international organizations, as well as support in finding free temporary housing and employment.
One of the organizations that helps Ukrainians leaving the TOT is Helping to Leave. You can contact the representatives of the NGO by calling the call center +380 (93) 177 6458 or writing to the Telegram bot @helpingtoleave_bot.
If you have any questions, you can call the hotline of the Ministry of Reintegration 15-48 or write to WhatsApp/Telegram/Viber at (096) 078-84-33. You can also contact Natalia Yemets, a specialized specialist of the Ministry of Reintegration, at (050) 562-03-13.
