Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainians have taken out almost 2,300 loans for apartments and 50 loans for private houses totaling almost UAH 4 billion under the "eOselya" program.

Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have taken out nearly 2,300 mortgages for apartments and 50 for private houses for almost UAH 4 billion under the state program "eOselya," with one in four loans for first-time buyers, UNN reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.

Since the beginning of this year, Ukrainians have taken out loans under the "eOselya" program for almost UAH 4 billion. 2,300 Ukrainian families will buy apartments and 50 families will buy private houses. One third of them took out loans under the mass mortgage program at 7%, which is available to all Ukrainians who do not have their own housing or need to improve their living conditions. One in four of those who have taken out a loan since the beginning of this year has purchased a so-called first sale home - either finished or under construction. This has a positive impact on the housing construction and related industries, stimulating their development

- said Nadiya Bihun, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Details

As indicated, the total amount of mortgage loans issued in 2024 is almost UAH 4 billion. Since the start of the program, 8,670 families have already received loans worth UAH 13.3 billion.

In particular, last week, Ukrainians received 234 loans worth UAH 388 million under the eHouse program, including:

  • 110 military and security personnel, 16 teachers, 23 doctors and 10 scientists received loans at 3% ;
  • loans at 7% were granted to 61 Ukrainians without their own housing, 4 IDPs and 10 veterans.

Most often, loans were taken to purchase housing on the secondary market (160 loans) and from a developer (56). In addition, 18 Ukrainians took out loans to buy an apartment in a building under construction.

Residents took out the most mortgages:

  • Kyiv region - 62;
  • of the city of Kyiv - 39;
  • Lviv region - 21;
  • Odesa region - 17;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region - 16.

Today, the affordable lending program is available to representatives of certain professions as well as citizens who do not own housing or want to improve its conditions. For contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, teachers, doctors and scientists, the preferential rate is 3% per annum. For other categories - combatants, veterans, IDPs, and other citizens - the mortgage rate is 7%.

The "eOselya" program was launched in October 2022. The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ukrfinzhytlo. The partner banks of eOselya are Oschadbank, Privatbank, Ukrgasbank, Globus Bank, Sky Bank, Ukreximbank, Sense Bank, and Credit Dnipro Bank.
