"I applaud what the Ukrainians continue to do to make sure they can hold their ground," Austin said. 

The Defense Minister also added that "Ukrainians are very determined people.

There were 144 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 48 attacks. Moreover, 12 enemy attempts to break through the defense in the Chasovyi Yar area were stopped. In the Kharkiv sector, fighting took place in the vicinity of Tykhove and Vovchansk.

The losses of the Russian occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have already reached about 578,120 people, 8390 tanks and hundreds of pieces of military equipment.
