On Sunday night, an incident occurred in Berlin at the entrance to the Jannowitzbrücke subway station, during which a man was stabbed. This was at least the third serious knife attack in the city in the last 24 hours of this weekend.

According to Berlin's criminal statistics, in 2023, knives were used in crimes 3,482 times, which is 165 more cases than in the previous year. Every third victim was under the age of 21.
