Finance Minister Sergiy Marchenko announces a downgrade of Ukraine's GDP growth forecast from 4.6% to 3.5% due to Russian attacks on the energy sector. The government plans to solve the problem by diversifying the energy grid and rebuilding infrastructure.
Due to Russia's constant attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, the GDP growth forecast has decreased from 4.6% to 3.5% by the end of the year. This was stated by Finance Minister Sergiy Marchenko during a telethon, UNN reports.
We had a forecast of 4.6% GDP growth by the end of the year, but due to the enemy's attacks on infrastructure, the Ministry of Economy and the government have reduced the economic growth forecast to 3.5%. Today, we do not see this as critical. We can accumulate sufficient resources to meet all our obligations
He hopes that the recent decisions taken, in particular to stimulate the creation of a diversified energy grid, as well as the repair and restoration of infrastructure, will allow us to resolve this issue," said Sergii Marchenko.
