Female epee fencers became the first Ukrainian athletes to return from the 2024 Olympics in Paris. They were solemnly welcomed at Kyiv Central Railway Station on August 1.
Ukrainian athletes have begun to return home from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris - the first to do so were female fencers, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

"Today, on August 1, 2024, the first group of Ukrainian athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games arrived at the Central Railway Station by morning train. Namely, part of the Ukrainian national fencing team: Joan-Fabi Bejura, Olena Kryvitska, Vlada Kharkiv," the NOC said.
At this year's Olympics, the girls started with individual competitions on the first day of play.
In Kyiv, the athletes were greeted with flowers and sincere congratulations.
The girls told journalists about the atmosphere in Paris, their performances and plans for the future. They also took a symbolic photo near the train, which Ukrzaliznytsia has symbolically "renamed" the Olympic Express.
