Tomorrow, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will participate in an informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in the "Gymnich" format in Limassol, Republic of Cyprus, UNN reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Details

According to the ministry, the central themes of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister's participation will be strengthening Europe's role in peace efforts, progress toward Ukraine's EU accession and the opening of negotiation clusters, sanctions pressure on Russia, and ensuring Ukraine's defense needs.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the head of Ukraine's foreign policy department will hold a series of bilateral meetings with European colleagues.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, commenting on the Russian attack on Ukraine on May 24, stated that Russia has reached a stalemate on the battlefield and is therefore resorting to deliberate strikes on Ukrainian city centers.

In addition, according to her, EU foreign ministers will discuss this week how to increase international pressure on Russia.
