Andrii Sybiha and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte discussed threats from Belarus and the PURL initiative. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of sanctions pressure and deterring the enemy.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the increasing threat from Russia to Ukraine and the wider European region from the territory of Belarus.
Sybiha and Rutte also discussed the latest dynamics on the battlefield, Ukraine's highly successful long-range sanctions against Russia, and the need for further development of the PURL initiative.
"We need strong collective deterrence to prevent miscalculations by the regimes in Moscow and Minsk. Special attention was paid to peace efforts and the role of Europe. To advance diplomatic efforts, it is critical to maintain pressure on Moscow. I emphasized that there can be no easing of sanctions,"
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine thanked the Secretary General for his work in strengthening NATO and his unwavering support for Ukraine.
