Donetsk "Shakhtar" defeated Dutch AZ with a score of 3-0 in the first leg of the Conference League quarter-finals. The game ended with a productive second half, in which the Ukrainian team scored three times, reports UNN.
Details
The first half of the match passed without goals and with a minimal number of dangerous moments. After the break, the teams became more active, but "Shakhtar" played more effectively.
In the 72nd minute, Pedrinho opened the scoring. Later, Allisson Santana scored a brace, netting in the 81st and 83rd minutes.
AZ also had several dangerous moments, but could not score. Goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk played reliably in "Shakhtar"'s goal.
The return match will take place in the Netherlands in a week. The winner of the two-match confrontation will advance to the semi-finals of the Conference League.
