Rutte thanked Norway for over $300 million for American weaponry for Ukraine

Norway has allocated over $300 million for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. Mark Rutte confirmed the country's participation in the PURIL initiative.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted Norway's contribution to supporting Ukraine and emphasized the importance of Norwegian participation in the initiative to procure American weaponry for Kyiv's needs. He stated this during a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, reports UNN.
According to Rutte, Norway became one of the first Alliance countries to join the Prioritize Ukraine Requirements List (PURIL) mechanism, which allows for the prompt delivery of necessary American equipment to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Norway has consistently remained one of Ukraine's strongest partners. It was among the first allies to join the PURIL program, helping to deliver urgently needed American equipment to Ukraine. Norway is one of the leading participants in this initiative, particularly thanks to a recent additional contribution of over 300 million US dollars
He also thanked Oslo for its constant support of Ukraine and its contribution to strengthening the Alliance's security.
