"At night and in the morning, Russia carried out a massive missile and drone attack on energy infrastructure facilities," Ukrenergo stated.
As a result of the shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in the city of Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions, remain temporarily without electricity supply
According to the Ministry of Energy, "as a result of enemy shelling in the capital, a production site and the infrastructure of an energy enterprise were damaged, and two energy workers were injured." The victims were reportedly taken to the hospital, where they are receiving all necessary assistance.
DTEK indicated that "the enemy attack on the capital injured two DTEK energy workers."
Energy workers are operating in an intensified mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing around the clock, the Ministry of Energy noted.
"The enemy also attacked oil and gas industry facilities. Infrastructure damage was recorded as a result of the strikes. Fortunately, none of the employees were injured. Rescuers and operational services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack," the Ministry of Energy reported.
As reported, "the application of restrictions is not forecasted for today."
"Active energy consumption today should be shifted to the daytime — from 11:00 to 15:00. In the evening hours, we ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity sparingly — from 18:00 to 22:00. This helps reduce the load on the system," the Ministry of Energy noted.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has increased. The reason for the change is cloudy weather and rain in parts of the western and southwestern regions of Ukraine.
