Russian troops attacked the border of Chernihiv region. Fifteen explosions were recorded in Novhorod-Siverska and Semenivska communities, using mortars, FPV drones and artillery.

Russian troops struck Chernihiv region using mortars, FPV drones and artillery, and 15 explosions were recorded in two communities, the Northern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service reported on Monday, UNN reported.

"During the day, Russian troops struck with a 120-mm mortar, FPV drones and cannon artillery on the border of Chernihiv region. 15 explosions were recorded," the regional office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said in a Facebook post and listed: 

  • Novhorod-Siverska community. Border guards recorded five explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar and an FPV drone) in the area of Hremyach and Mykhalchyna Sloboda. 
  • Semenivka community. 10 explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar and cannon artillery) were in the direction of the villages of Bleshnya, Logy and Prohres.

There is no information on deaths or injuries among the local population as a result of the shelling.

According to the head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus on Telegram, the enemy fired 72 times at 18 settlements in Chernihiv region last week. 197 explosions were recorded. The enemy carried out 27 air strikes using FPV drones (27 explosions). Houses and outbuildings were damaged.
