According to Budanov's assessment, the Kremlin is currently using mostly psychological pressure and demonstrative steps, rather than direct military escalation.
There is intelligence data showing that Russia is not abandoning its plan to intensify actions in Transnistria. I would call it a war of fears. The Russians are afraid for their contingent and are trying to take certain steps to strengthen it and be ready for a reaction if something happens.
At the same time, Ukraine is taking preventive measures and strengthening its defense in the Transnistrian direction.
Budanov notes that the Ukrainian side controls the situation and is ready to act in case of new threats.
