Russia is lying that the alleged date of the beginning of silence regarding energy strikes is March 18 - Zelensky
Kyiv • UNN
The President of Ukraine stated that the Russian Federation is distorting agreements on silence in the Black Sea and a ceasefire on energy. He emphasized the importance of releasing Ukrainian prisoners.

Russia is lying again that the silence in the Black Sea allegedly depends on the issue of sanctions and that the date of the beginning of silence on energy is March 18. This is a distortion of the agreements, there are absolutely clear statements from the White House. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.
Today, all day I am in touch with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, the head of our technical delegation at the negotiations in Saudi Arabia. There were good meetings with the American side yesterday and today. (...) There are agreements, and quite concrete ones. It was agreed with the American side that a ceasefire on our energy sector may begin today - we believe that after the publication of a corresponding statement on the results of the meetings and all the work of the teams, we can move to silence on energy
He noted that the teams also discussed how to bring more security to the Black Sea, normal shipping.
It is fundamentally important for Ukraine to release our people from Russian captivity: soldiers, our civilians, as well as our children who were forcibly taken out by the Russian occupiers. I am grateful to America for its willingness to help in these humanitarian issues, and this is recorded in our statement with the American side. Ukraine is ready to work as quickly and absolutely transparently as possible to end the war. But, unfortunately, already now, already just today, just on the day of the negotiations, we see how the Russians have already begun to manipulate. They are already trying to distort the agreements and actually deceive both our mediators and the whole world. There are absolutely clear statements that have been published by the White House. Everyone can see what is stated there. And there is what the Kremlin is lying about again: that the silence in the Black Sea allegedly depends on the issue of sanctions and that the date of the beginning of silence on energy is March 18. Moscow is always lying. And it depends on the world - on everyone who really needs peace - whether they will allow Moscow to lie again
Reminder
The head of the CCD of the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Kovalenko stated about the new launch of Shaheds by Russia. This happened despite recent negotiations on safe navigation in the Black Sea.
After the US publishes statements on the outcome of the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, the silence at sea and the cessation of fire on energy facilities should begin.
