The invaders continue to build a highway called "novorossia" through Mariupol to the occupied Crimea. This road, according to the representatives of the Russian Federation, should connect Rostov and Simferopol and will pass through the occupied Mariupol.
The occupiers continue to turn Mariupol into a logistics center to support the Russian army. According to the mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, the invaders are building a new road infrastructure around the city. This will become an element of the construction of military logistics, Boychenko noted. That is, it will provide supplies for the Russian occupiers at the front.
Through such projects, the invaders are trying to integrate and tie the captured territories of Ukraine to Russia
The Russians plan to complete the work in September 2026.
